New Years Day

For the first day of the new year we decided to go sledding. It took forever to get everyone packed and ready to go. There is a neighborhood park that has a great sledding hill for our kids. There are steep parts but for the most part it is pretty mild.

Don't you love the dramatic effect of the sun shining down on our family.

James not moving for the first time ever. He loves the snow but he does not tolerate being cold.

Lincoln could stay outside forever. So I called helping James and Dale was stuck staying in the cold with Lincoln.

Getting the rest of the gear on. Amanda was nice enough to come with us and take pictures. I feel like we are getting pictures taken by the paparazzi.

He loved going sledding but did not like the hat in his eyes.

You can't tell but he was smiling and saying weeeeee.
Word of advice: don't wear gloves that have your tips of your fingers hanging out while sledding.

Lincoln loves, loves, loves the snow! Look at that smile.

Trekking it up the hill.

I tried to convince Lincoln into pulling me up the hill. He said I was to big. I told him to never say this to a woman......ever.

We were racing. They still beat us eventhough the almost fell out.

It was such a beautiful day. Soft snow and sun shining.

James fell asleep in the car on the way home. Which it was just around the corner. Whenever Manda would take a picture, he would open his eyes.

We hung out at my parents house after and had prime rib, salmon and baked potato bar. It was delicious. James was having fun showing aunt manda his cute face through the magnify glass.

They have quite the toy collection at papa and grandmas house.
James loves shoes. He wanted his boots back on when after taking off all his snow gear. Strange I know.

Now it's time to rest and drink his chocolate.

Henry is always eating or sleeping in pictures. Actually, I think thats all he does......and poops too.
