Isiah's 1st birthday was at the new pizza place in draper. We had so much celebrating his first birthday, eating yummy food and playing lots of games. Can't wait to watch Isiah grow up and have many birthdays to come.

Christmas Program

Lincoln loves to perform. He gets it from his mom. At the end of the program they had a special visitor come and Lincoln says to Santa I already told you what I wanted but I guess I'll tell you again if you forgot.

James was pretty busy during the program. Thanks to my parents to help watch him so I could video.

Henry slept for most of it.

The clubhouse had Santa come to visit the kids in the neighborhood.
Lincoln loves telling Santa what he wanted this year. He told him he wanted a k-nex roller coaster.

James hated Santa and didn't even take his candy til he was in Dad's arms. Then he asked Santa to give him the candy.

Snow

Dale took the boys outside as soon as it snowed enough to make a snowman. It was so much fun to see their cute red noses and kiss their cold cheeks. I love winter through the holidays.

I love Christmas so much that we have to decorate our home the day after Thanksgiving. My kids love it and I look forward to it all year. There is nothing like having the Christmas joy in your home. And the reminder that Christ was born for us.
Lincoln loved doing everything all by himself with the step stools of course.

He wanted to help on top too. Ever since we had kids our tree is looking more and more bare on the top.

The honors go to Lincoln to put the star on the top.

My husband loves to carve pumpkins. Really loves to carve pumpkins! I think he spent a total of 6 hours looking up pumpkins online, printing them off online, gutting the pumpkin, carving many pumpkins. It is definitely something he looks forward too. Hopefully the kids will join in on his excitement.

Henry Nolan Rex

I went to a football game on Saturday as a family, training at work on Sunday all while I was contracting 5 minutes apart for 2 minute contractions. Later Sunday night I worked my shift with 3 minutes apart and 4 minute contractions. I wanted to make sure they were not sending me home from the hospital as false labor. That was 10/10/10. Monday morning I was still contracting 3 minutes apart and 4 minute contractions. I was in so much pain! But since I was 3 weeks early, I had to pack my bags, my babies bags and get ready for the day because I knew it would be my last for awhile. Three kids and all. So, around 11 am I called Dale back home and said we need to go to the hospital, I'm having a baby today. I think Dale thought, actually I know Dale thought we were not having a baby that day. On the car ride to the hospital I felt awful. Did I tell you I was in so much pain? I cried a lot and felt like I was slowly dying. When we got to the hospital they took my info, got me hooked to the machines and started watching my progression. I was moving a lot because having a contraction doesn't necessarily make you stay still. Three hours later they called my doctor and I had him at 7:07pm on Oct 11. He was 7lbs 7oz 21 1/2inches and was as healthy and beautiful as can be. We couldn't decide on Henry or Nolan for about a day in the hospital, so he ended up being Henry Nolan Rex.

The delivery was good. Well as good as a c-section can be.

Right after he was weighed and checked.

The boys were so excited. James was not excited for Dad to hold baby though. He has been all about Dale ever since he was born.

I threw up a couple of times. So, yes that is a barf bag positioned in an inconvenient spot for the picture.

Lincoln loves his brothers. He really wanted a girl but he then said to me that it was good thing we had a boy because where would we put any girl toys at in our house.

James is still a baby. He is only 18 1/2 months old. So, we let him lay in the baby cradle all he wanted.

Lincoln is always concerned about me after I have a baby. He is worried if I am okay with all the machines hooked up to me.

It's an 18 month boy.....could you imagine if they were this big when they are first born. Yikes!

We went to Rileys basketball game for Murray High School up in good ole Ogden. It was fun to go and watch with my boys. I get excited thinking about what the future holds for them and love showing them all the options in the world. Lincoln already talks about being a Coach at BYU for all sports.....he even told me even Lacrosse. James loves playing basketball. He plays for hours and always has a ball in his hand.

I work the graveyard shift and sometimes I beg my children to veg and lay in bed all day. We make it fun....we color, play games, watch whatever they want, say silly jokes, eat, call our friends and family members, eat some more, sing songs, take videos and pictures, clean off the crumbs before dad comes home, loves and cuddles, etc, etc. I love this time with my boys. I will cherish these moments forever. Henry and those cheeks

We went to the Murray Basketball game to watch Amanda's boyfriend Riley. He played a great game and of course Murray won. Also, it was fun to go back to our old school, but it's so new and different. It doesn't even feel like I even went to that school. I'm glad the gym looks the same, it brought back many school memories. James (look at that face...Adorable)

Megan told me that Boston and Kenton play tennis every friday at Golds Gym and asked if Lincoln could come and play. They have lessons for kids and Lincoln is loving every minute of it. He was so adorable and of course a pro right away. He hit the ball great and ran hard. Lincoln now practices in the basement. I love how driven and passionate he is. He will be so much fun to watch him grow.

Dino Museum Numeral Duex

Danae and I took the boys to lunch and the dinosaur museum. It was a lot of fun to let the kids run around and play. Unfortunately, there were 3 field trip classes there which made for a little chaos. Henry in his stroller. He was looking around especially at the boys and their craziness.

We have been reading a dinosaur book. Every night is a new dinosaur and it's fun to watch his little curiousity explore all the things around him. He just learned about what a paleontologist does and was really excited to look for dinosaur bones. Cooper went straight for the sand, but wasn't sure about the sand in his toes. He did taste it (yuck) and spit it out. The poor boy was cleaning off his tongue to try to get it all off.

I was trying to take a picture of just Danae and Cooper and James would not move out of the way.

This is phase 1 of the moving Lincoln and James in the same room. Results: Success! Well it was a process. Lincoln was all sorts of excited. James loved the idea but parting with his crib and having the choice to run out was a little tricky. The first night was doing the routines....like exercises, protein shake, read Dino book, read scriptures, pray, then least favorites and favor ties, tuck kids in and off our merry way....well Dale stayed and I was off my merry way. The next night we tortured our poor children and had the lights off and shut the door (the same thing we would do with James in the crib every night since he was 3mths old). But I guess that was too traumatizing for Lincoln since he sleeps with his night light and covers over his head. Lincoln could not handle James crying himself to sleep. Third night was the threat to go back in his crib. We did the routines, then both went off our merry way....until he kept on running out. So, we said you get out of your bed one more time and your sleeping in your crib. I know that was a little risky, because this could have totally backfired. But behold the 4th night. James was threatened with the crib and ran his cute little behind back to his bed and fell right to sleep. It's been blissful ever since. We have waited a couple weeks before Henry goes in the crib, but I'm pretty sure James is over it. Lincoln had our old queen bed since the toddler bed was not a hit. If anyone has slept on that bed knows that bed is the most fabulous bed that we've owned. He was okay with getting rid of it since his brother was moving in.

James helped clean up the room for his stuff to come in. We moved the clothes to Lincolns room before we had Henry. But the other things are slowly coming together.

James loves his big boy bed. We have the mattress and the box springs on the ground for two reasons. a) so when he falls off it's not a far fall (which he has fallen a handful of times already) and b) we wanted to make sure sharing rooms would work before Dale made custom beds. If it didn't work we would buy another queen since that seems like a better long term option. I've now told Dale let the building of their custom baseball beds begin.

Just a side note: When we say our favorites and least favorites for the day, Dale says umm before saying what he thinks. So, now when you ask James what his favorites are he says umm in his sugary sweet voice and giggles at himself. I absolutely love, love, love this part of my day. I work at night and I made myself a split shift so I can do the night time routine.

I was really anticipating Henry's baby blessing, because I love the feeling of love I feel that day from my Heavenly Father. What an amazing gift that we are given to be parents of His children and I am most grateful everyday for being a mother. Henry is such a sweet little boy. His smile makes me so joyful and happy that I can't stop smiling now just thinking about it. I love having family and friends come to love our baby and to witness him recieving a name in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Din Don Museum

I love having a Thanksgiving Point pass. It makes it easy to go somewhere fun when we are bored at home. I love bringing friends to play with Lincoln and James too. My kids are really into dinosaurs right now. They love watching dinosaur train and dino dan. It's fun to see what they see on tv in person. James, Diesel, Lincoln, and Henry

Henry loves going to the museum. He eats and gets pushed in his stroller while admiring the dinosaur bones.

Crazy boys in the light and space area at the front of the museum. They change this area to teach kids different science projects. Last time it was magnets. Which was really cool.

Such a hard day. He deserves a nap.

Yup, he decided to get inside. I don't think this is what they meant on hands on but James kind of does what he wants. He didn't want to leave this area so I started walking away saying bye James. And Lincoln was freaking out saying "we can't leave him. Mom don't go" I kept on telling Lincoln that he will come because Moms know what they are doing. He was not happy with this. But James always came all on his own.

Lincoln built a big fort with the sand and watched the water go through it. He loves this part of the musuem.

He loves to play games. If you have ever come to our house, the first thing he wants to know is if you want to play any games. His favorite dinosaur game on the computer is the color a dino picture with fun colors and patterns.

I think this has become a tradition now.

New Years Day

For the first day of the new year we decided to go sledding. It took forever to get everyone packed and ready to go. There is a neighborhood park that has a great sledding hill for our kids. There are steep parts but for the most part it is pretty mild.

Don't you love the dramatic effect of the sun shining down on our family.

James not moving for the first time ever. He loves the snow but he does not tolerate being cold.

Lincoln could stay outside forever. So I called helping James and Dale was stuck staying in the cold with Lincoln.

Getting the rest of the gear on. Amanda was nice enough to come with us and take pictures. I feel like we are getting pictures taken by the paparazzi.

He loved going sledding but did not like the hat in his eyes.

You can't tell but he was smiling and saying weeeeee.

Word of advice: don't wear gloves that have your tips of your fingers hanging out while sledding.

James fell asleep in the car on the way home. Which it was just around the corner. Whenever Manda would take a picture, he would open his eyes.

Christmas

We woke up at around 8 o'clock before our babies and waited for them to wake. I put the Christmas breakfast caserole in the oven and looked happily at my sleeping babies. Lincoln came into our room and had no idea it was Christmas. He even passed the tree. When we told him it was Christmas morning and asked if Santa came, he started to smile and stretch his legs and arms to get out of bed to open presents. Lincoln couldn't wait. He opened one and then moved on to the next one. While James opened one present and nothing else. Unless we forced him of course. Henry watched his brothers and slept.

After we opened our presents, Jimmy came and brought them some more gifts to open. Lincoln was so excited to get a BYU football uniform and helmet, as well as James. Then Pam came over and brought the boys presents and played their toys with the boys. After the wonderful morning at home, we went to my parents for some more fun. It always seems to amaze me of how loved my children are with gifts. James that Christmas was great. He didn't quite get that opening presents means new things. But he definately enjoyed the toys, new or old. Lincoln loves his new baseball hat that Santa brought him in his stocking.

James loves gloves. He got a lot of new toys and all he wanted to play with is a baseball glove.....

You would think that the toy in the background was for Christmas but no it was bought just because. My boys are so lucky to have such great grandparents. My mom keeps on suggesting that Dale and I take that toy home. But we know better. We have enough mess of balls in our house.

Words cannot express how entertaining our James is. He never seems to amaze us. If you know him and his personality, you know what I am talking about. He shares himself with those that he cares about. Other than that he is a pretty shy kid when you first meet him.

James and Henry both fit this shirt. Henry is growing so big.

Lincoln loves his brothers so much. He cares if they are sad or hungry or just plain being taking care of. I love that he keeps me focused on our family and what is needed to be done. I love this little boy and he will become such and amazing older brother.

I absolutely love this photo. And yes James is wearing underwear and is not potty trained. He wants to be just like Lincoln.

I love Taylor's birthday parties. They are so much fun and full of happiness. My children love every bit of Jungle Jim's. The parents on the other hand love watching the children have fun. No spinning rides for us. Happy 3rd Birthday Taylor. We love watching you grow!

Lincoln was making sure James was taken care of. If he didn't want to go up and down he made sure he was comfortable. Even if we were yelling for him to go up. He was being a great older brother.

During Lincoln and Dales winter break, we decided to make a well needed dental visit. After the dentist we took the kids to chicken pilay....chick fila....and let them play in the fun area.

Then we went to Ikea to pick up a few things.

After Ikea, we went to Cabelas to get some Christmas presents. The kids enjoyed themselves as well.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was our Henry's first. We are so thankful for our kids and the joy they bring to our home. We are even thankful for the chaos too. Thanksgiving was at Pam's this year. Jenny and Pam did an awesome job at the decorations and I especially love the flowers. We love our family and love spending time with them.

James loved the trains in the toy room and wearing everyone shoes.

Henry loves the swing. Most importantly this swing, thanks to the Johnson family. He was a lucky one and slept through thanksgiving dinner.

Mountains

We decided we would go to the mountains to see the fall leaves in between General Conference. It sounded like a good idea and we were really excited to go as a family but everyone and their dog had the same idea. We were stuck in the mouth of the canyon for a good 20 minutes before we even entered the American Fork Canyon. The drive was beautiful. Lincoln learned all about the season fall and was telling us what colors the leaves were. The smell and sounds of the mountains and rivers were breathtaking. Especially after listening to our General Authorities talks about Jesus Christ and the Gospel. This is the way James enjoyed the fall afternoon car ride.

BYU vs San Diego State

We decided to take the two boys to the San Diego State vs BYU game. We bundled them up and brought lots of blankets, and it ended up being a pretty warm day. James wasn't as bad as we thought an 18 mth old would be. We shoved cotton candy and treats in his mouth. while Lincoln ended up playing with the I-phone for most of the game. The fun part was having him blow the whistle whenever the scored. He also, loves to sing the fight song.

Oh and by the way I was 37 weeks pregnant and had my baby on that Monday night. Gotta love a good football game to put you into labor. Luckily it wasn't during the game.

Amanda is having her baby in November and Jenny and I went to her baby shower. It's exciting to see a first mom right before she is going to have a baby. Everything is so new and you can't describe the amazing experience they will have once their baby arrives. Especially watching their husband fall in love all over again with their beautiful baby. Can't wait to see their baby boy. Congrats Amanda and Mike.

My good friend Tawnya took some pregnant photos for me with my boys and I love them. They were so much fun to do....eventhough my children were not the most cooperative. Thank you Tawnya for being so patient with my kids and getting such fun pics. Lincoln thought it was so cool that he could see the baby grow as my belly got bigger.

I thought this picture was such a cool idea. I love the big belly.

Lincoln loved to read our baby stories and sing him songs. It was such a sweet family experience to have Lincoln so excited for our new baby.

James was very uninterested in my belly and didn't quite understand what was going on. My poor baby James was going to be growing up really fast once our baby comes. Luckily he loves being such a big boy like his older brother.

This picture was definately FORCED.

The next day was Lincolns birthday. I started to hemorrage and called the doctor that night. He told me to rest and let him know if it gets worst. The next morning was worst and I went into labor and delivery and found out that I had a placenta abruption. They put me on bedrest for three days and then advised me to see my doctor after the weekend. I ended up having labor contractions about 6-10 minutes apart for the next three weeks then they turned into 5 minute apart contractions and then had 3 minute apart contractions that lasted 4-6 minutes long. I then went into the hospital and Henry was born that night. I want to mention that I am very grateful that Henry was healthy and came to us earlier than expected because we were so excited to see him. But I am definately grateful for my spinal block and drugs because those contractions were not fun at all.

So, moral of the story.....my due date Oct 29th, my scheduled C-Section date was Oct 21st and I had him on Oct 11th.

Florida Trip

Dad & Lincoln Florida trip. baby Henry was thinking about coming early, so James and Mom stayed home while Linc & I went to Florida. The main purpose of our trip was to go to the BYU vs Florida State football game, but we had fun doing a bunch of other things too. Our hotel was at Disney World, and it was amazing, so we spent most of our time at the pool at the hotel.

They have really cool miniature golf places all over Orlando. Mini golf was Lincoln's favorite activity in Florida, and he even chose mini golf over Disney World the last 2 days.

I can't believe my baby is FOUR. Holy smokes where did the time go. I guess it's a good thing he's turned four since he has two brothers. I'm so happy that we have Lincoln in our lives. He is so sweet and thoughtful. I love that he cares about his family and friends. Also, he has so much patients with his brother James when they are playing. Happy Birthday Lincoln.

We went to Del Taco to play in their fun zone the day before his birthday.

I made him his favorite breakfast....Mickey Mouse pancakes with chocolate chips and chocolate milk.

Lincoln LOVES to mini golf. He begs us to take him everyday.

James was hilarious. He would hit the ball and then run around the hole and then slide back into the putting black mat. And do it all over again. Then when I took the ball and putter away he ran away from me and threw himself to the ground to throw his tantrum. Happy Birthday Lincoln.

Then we played video games, earned tickets and got prizes. Lincoln has some mad skills at arcade games.

James cheating....gotta love it. I dare you to tell his beautiful brown eyes to stop and get down. Dare ya.

I love when they play together, harmonously. Too bad the game was broken.

After mini golf we went to Grandma and Papa Tomita's for his birthday party. I didn't throw him a friends party because we got him a family trip to Florida to go to Disneyworld. But my mom is a great party thower and we played a lot of fun games. The first game was to cut a string the size of Lincoln. My Aunt Melinda was exactly on. She guessed his exact height.

Then Danae and Ryan teamed up for one of Lincolns favorite games....wrap the other person in toilet paper as fast as you can. I heard Danae was amazing. They smoked everyone out of the park. She is a dancer and she spun around while Ryan held the paper.

Next we played a game where you have to eat the cookie without using your hands under a bunch of whipcream. My dad won this event. This was a very fun event to watch.

Next game was to eat the doughnut off the string without using your hands. Lincoln was determined to finish all of the games. I love that he loves to play games. He is so much fun. Love you Lincoln.

Climbing Mount Everest...okay just to the Y

One beautiful, hot, sunny day, Dale and I decided to take the boys up to the Y on the mountain.

We started up the hill at around 11:30am....I know crazy.

And by the way I am about 7 1/2 months pregnant.

Lincoln took many breaks in the shade, thank goodness for me.

But the view was amazing.

The people I went with were not so bad either. My boy Lincoln....

and my baby James.

About mile marker one thousand, James and I decided to let Linc and Dale go on the rest of the adventure alone. James found an awesome walking stick.

He was such a maniac on the mountain. I was not letting him near the edge for the fear of him jumping or rolling down.

Amy and I decided to take the kids to the beach. I told her about Blackridge and how much fun we have there. Sand and kids are always a great combination. We told JD we went to the beach for the day. Since, we fly to California on jetBlue we were telling him we flew to Seal beach for the day. I think he just thought we were crazy.

Dale and I took our kids to the Blackridge Resevoir for our 7th Anniversary during the day. It's amazing that we want to spend our Anniversary with awesome children. And I'm also 8 months pregnant and can't due very many outdoor activities. We had a lot of fun playing in the sand and swimming in the water.

Lincoln and James buried Dale in the sand. We couldn't get his big toe covered. Lincoln thought that was hilarious.

I laid in the hot sun and enjoyed the weather. While Lincoln destryed the village I made with a moat around it.

We decided to bury James too but he was not a fan.

Lincoln thought it was pretty cool to be buried like his dad. But then wanted out after the picture was taken.

For our Anniversary I got him a massage on the beach.

Lincolns Triathlon

We signed Lincoln up for a children's triathlon for kids ages 5-10yrs old. Lincoln was 3 at the time of this triathlon. So, we snuck him in. He has been training with Dale for quite awhile. He was so excited to swim, bike and run like his daddy. Lincoln was first place out of all the 3 year olds. We were so proud of him and his desire to accomplish such a big goal. Our ward holds an annual activity at the Owls baseball game, which is my boys favorite activity. Lincoln loves to take his baseball mitt in case a foul ball comes his way. James was having the time of his life as well. He even drank out of Jennifer Jones lemonade from the seat behind us. I guess we should watch his every move. He had a lot of fun, but was not a fan of sitting still.

Itty Bitty Soccer

Lincoln wanted to play soccer but missed the deadline by a couple months. So, we put him in Itty Bitty Soccer. He loved it. Jackson, our neighbor, was on his team and they were so cute together. There was a kid who was picking on Lincoln and Linc was telling him to be nice and stop. Well, the kid hits Lincoln and Jackson defended him and pushed him down. Lets just say the kid didn't mess with either of them again. I'm not supporting pushing kids but I do support self defense and sticking up for friends. Itty Bitty was a lot of fun to watch when they were playing games. The kids loved the drills....the parents bared thru them.

Rex/Johnson Annual Olympic Events

The Rex boys have been talking about holding an Olympic competition amongst Dale, Matt, JD, Jimmy and Brett for quite awhile. And what better day to do it then a thunderstorm day that hails on us. It was quite the adventure. After the storm past the day was very beatiful. I was very impressed with the mens sportsmanship. They are all competitve and head strong so to say there wasn't any fighting or bickering is quite the accomplish. Thank you family for the pure entertainment. I really can't wait for the next Rex/Johson Annual Olympics.

We thought it was over a few times but whenever it started we headed for our shelter.I told Lincoln many of times not to go on the bleachers because he will slip and fall from the wetness of the rain. Well, in this picture Lincoln was crying because he didn't listen and did the splits and had bruises in his inner thighs. Hope he learned that mothers know best. I paid Avery a couple dollars to run around with James while I enjoyed the Olympics. It was the best couple of bucks I ever spent. He was happy and I was happy I didn't have to chase him all over. James adores his cousin Avery and loves to play with her because she caters to his every need. The baseball field that they used had this sign on it. I love Lady A!!! They have great songs and when I heard they were coming to concert it wasn't hard talking Jenny and Manda into coming with me. We wanted to go to dinner before we left but we were stuck in traffic for about an hour or so. It was horrendous. I HATE traffic. When we finally got there, we couldn't find a spot to sit so we sat by the stairs. We saw Jimmy and Shaun and Jimmy made fun of our seats so he offered to let us take his spot. We moved right after Lady A and was waiting for Tim McGraw. None of the food sounded very good, so we ended up with popcorn. We didn't want to ruin our appetite. Jenny and I have seen Tim many of times and Amanda didn't care to see him. So, we decided to leave early to go to Texas Roadhouse (Amanda's work). Tim McGraw was definately not at his best, which was quite dissapointing but I'm still a fan. I had a really fun time with my family and had great conversation. I love going to concerts with these two.

RS Retreat

The RS women went up to Heber City and stayed in this beautiful cabin for a fun retreat. It was so much fun getting to know all of the women in my neighborhood and creating friendships with them. Thank you PM1st ward RS for planning this fun trip and strengthening my testimony.

When I was asked to speak I was okay with it. Then I found out Sister Bingham, Sister Daynes, Sister Dominici were speaking with me. And I was then wanting to be sick that weekend. On top of that I found out I was speaking last. Yes, that is right. After these amazing talks I would be following. But they brought such an amazing spirit and I am grateful for their strong testimonies that it calmed me a little. It was such a peaceful setting and I hope we make this an annual event.

Boating on Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we fought the overcast and ventured out to the lake on the dewinterized boat. It was warm when the boat was stopped but when the water hit you while we were going it was quite chilly. The kids went on the tube and Dale and Sabrina went swimming in their wet suits. It was a really fun day at the lake and we can't wait for the weather to be a little more consistant so we can go more often. Family Boating Pic

On Saturday, we had a BBQ with Jenny and Brett and JD and Amy at their wonderful circle neighborhood which Jenny and I are very jealaous of. Our kids were able to play on the street riding their bikes without worrying about them . We also had the kids practice their T-ball for the game in a week. They were so cute. I can't wait for their first game. It's going to be a fun one. When it got dark we went inside and played a game of apples to apples. Which everyone found out how highly intellegent I am. I have mad skills everyone beware. J/K

Lincoln was teaching James how to play a song. James likes to toot to his own horn so they were playing two different songs Linc said. Brothers can't live with them can't live without them.

James fell asleep on our way to lunch. I guess the sun was getting to him.

Our children share a common interest that they talk about a lot. . . . . feeding the GOATS!

These are baby goats that just were born a couple days ago. They were so precious.

Linc has come along way feeding the goats from the palm of his hands. I'm so proud of him.

James liked yelling and bossing all the goats around.

Taylor loves farm animals. Her favorite show is Barnyard Animals.

1st T-ball Practice

We put Lincoln into T-ball at Murray with his cousins Carson and Halle. It was so much fun watching them play ball together for their first practice. Linc loves baseball. Everyday he calls Dale at work wondering if he could come home to play baseball with him.

Dale is the head coach and JD is helping him including any parent who wants to participate and help. At the end of practice Dale sat them down to talk about the rules of T-ball. When Dale was asking them questions they would all yell out different answers and Dale couldn't hear what they had to say, so he told them to raise their hand if they had something to say. Well, every child raised their hands. It was so funny and so sweet.
